I want to see how adding a background affects the narrative of the works.
To do this background I soaked the paper and blot on some colours of watercolour then sprinkle salt on it. I have been experimenting with this on larger sheets but once the a soaked I glue them to mdf so the paper is taught when it dries.
I need to find titles for these works, although I don't want to give them obvious names, they need to be subtle. I think i would like the whole series to be titled "The people in the cities" but this may change as the works develop.
